When I hear… “I don’t have time to eat healthy” …. translation in my head? “I’m too lazy, don’t really care all that much about my health and would rather sit around wishing I were in shape instead of making the effort to actually DO it”.
I know it sounds harsh… but that is genuinely what goes through my head when I hear that. Do you know how many fitness models and competitors I know who are full-time students with multiple jobs or a mom with a full-time job who STILL finds the time to not only eat healthy, but never miss a workout AND compete? Do you think they were magically granted extra hours in the day to get that done? NO… they MADE the time because it is IMPORTANT to them.
If your health is important to you, you will find a way… if not, you’ll find an excuse.
I am one of those average people who only has 24 hours in a day ;) I have a job which sometimes has very odd hours. I MAKE THE TIME even if I don’t easily HAVE IT. I do that by getting up earlier than I’d like to, or squeezing in stuff I don’t really want to do when I have a spare moment.
My food prep for half the week was done today in less than an hour. YES… I made 8 meals for myself in less than an hour. They are now stored in my fridge, waiting to be eaten. I have the rest of the day ahead of me and am worry-free. Why? Because I got up and put on my big girl panties and got done what needed to be done. My health is important to me, so I make time for it. I make it a priority.
